When purchasing an air conditioning unit you often hear of SEER rating, you may ask yourself what it means, and why is it important. SEER rating stands for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio, this pertains to the overall efficiency rating of the unit and measures overall cooling output and divides that by the electrical input required to run the device. The higher the SEER  the more efficient the unit, and often times the more complex the mechanical aspect of the machine.
