If that’s not the case and you’re still having problems, paying to increase your return grill typically pays for itself within the first year of installation.

One of the other main reasons for an air conditioning unit that’s not cooling properly is up in your attic – it’s the ductwork.

There are several things that can go wrong with your air duct system. There can be leaks in the ducts, which mean your AC is cooling your attic, not your house. Your ducts can also have kinks, which restrict the airflow. They may also be improperly installed, which is a very common problem.
