Yes, it’s true, Arizona did get a cold front. It’s certainly a little chillier than normal, especially for tried and true Arizonians. Don’t let our recent cooler weather fool you into thinking that you won’t be needing air conditioning service soon, though. Before you know it, Arizona’s sweltering hot summer will be upon us.
If you haven’t had your air conditioner serviced recently, don’t hesitate to give us a call. If you’re all set for the summer that’s good news, too! Remember these useful tips as we enter the Arizona air conditioning season:
- Don’t place computer systems or household items like lamps, TVs, or other appliances that may give off excessive heat next to a thermostat. You’ll get a higher than normal reading from your thermostat and your air conditioner will run more frequently than it actually should.
- When you turn on your air conditioning, don’t set your thermostat to a colder than normal setting – your house won’t cool down any faster and your air conditioning expenses may increase. Consider getting a digital thermostat so that you can set a schedule of temperatures that sync with the times you are in your house the most.
- If you have a very old air conditioner, consider buying a newer energy efficient model. Shop for energy efficient appliances that have ENERGY STAR and Energy Guide labels.
Regardless of your air conditioning needs or concerns, we are here to help. And we are only a phone call away.
